‘During the war, Prees Heath was a RAF training centre for spitfires and wellingtons, then a driving school and much later a nature reserve, where huge efforts have gone into recreating a habitat suitable for butterflies, including the Silver Studded Blue. This is its only stronghold in the Midlands, and it was exciting to be there for sunset and photograph this specimen as it roosted on the bell heather’
