“On my way home after a shoot one evening, I saw a flash of white in the fields to my left. I instinctively knew it could only be one thing – barn owl. I got in touch with the landowner, who was happy for me to stalk her land, and several dusks later, I had the honour to watch the silent barn owl swooping straight towards me, with the last of evening behind it. What a beauty to behold!”
