AFP37 Swan reflected in Walcot Lake

Shropshire Wildlife greeting card.

Photography by Andrew Fusek Peters

“I take the swans at Walcot Lake too much for granted, mainly because they are the dominant species and the males are utter bullies. On this dull afternoon, I was out for much more interesting wildlife, all of which decided to avoid me.  But the wind had died, and this resting swan hooked my eye.  By under-exposing, I was able to turn the water inky black and catch both swan and perfect reflection in one serene, floating moment."
