AFP42 Song thrush singing as moon rises
Photography by Andrew Fusek Peters
"I had been chasing the moon as it rose in the afternoon, got home, walked into my garden and there was both moon and songthrush in the next-door tree. I ran around trying to align bird and moon, finally climbing on the conservatory roof and hoping the thrush would not fly off. But this was dusk and territorial singing was the order of the evening. To line up rising moon and singing songthrush was a once in a lifetime moment. This made over 100k impressions on Twitter."
